Dr Cozolino, a clinical psychologist and professor of psychology at Pepperdine University US has spent years researching and writing in the field of neuroscience and psychotherapy. He has been described as “a master at synthesizing neuroscientific information and demonstrating how it applies to practice.”
With a unique ability for using anecdotal clinical material and stories to unpack complex ideas, Dr Cozolino will take the audience on an exploration of neuroscience and its relationship to the underlying mechanisms of action in the therapeutic process.
Over the 3 hrs, Dr Cozolino will take participants through:
How the effects of early stress on brain development may help to better tailor treatments to particular clients who have experienced various forms of trauma.
General principles for the optimisation of neuroplasticity and change.
This Masterclass will give delegates an additional framework from which to build interventions from existing strategies already used.
“Knowing about neuroscience is invaluable for therapists, not because it offers specific new techniques or clinical theories, but because it provides a deeper understanding of the biological power of the ‘talking cure.’”

Now let’s journey over the educational horizon. Learn about the concept of multiple futures, emerging futures and how technology, in particular, artificial intelligence, will redefine education.
Discover the latest developments in cutting edge schooling from around the world and what you can do to ‘future proof’ your school or organisation. Don’t be caught on the wrong side of history.
In this Masterclass, Peter Hutton will help us to:
Explore the narratives that shape the Western Australian educational experience.
Consider the emerging issues that will shape the futures for WA Education.
Build Insights about the case for educational change.
Create a vision of what an ‘empowered WA learner’ could look like.
Open innovation possibilities within each participant’s own context.

As a person with dyslexia, Peter sees the world differently and has spent his life challenging assumptions and conventions.
